Sigenergy EV Chargers: Integrated, High-Speed Charging at Home
Professionally installed by Viable Power
Most home EV chargers do one job. Sigenergy chargers are different.
They are designed as part of a complete home energy system that includes solar, battery storage and EV charging in one piece of hardware. The result is an EV charger that can pull power directly from your solar panels and battery without the conversion losses you get on a standard setup.
We install Sigenergy chargers across Surrey, Hampshire and the South East. The buyers we work with want a fully integrated solar, battery and EV setup from one manufacturer.
Smarter Home EV Charging with Sigenergy
Sigenergy offers two distinct chargers for the home, and the right one depends on whether you are building or already have a SigenStor system.
The Sigen EV AC Charger is a standalone unit. It delivers up to 22 kW on a three-phase supply, or 7.4 kW on a standard single-phase home supply. It can be installed on its own, or it pairs neatly with a Sigenergy inverter for prioritised solar charging.
The SigenStor EV DC Charging Module slots directly into a Sigenergy SigenStor stack in place of a battery module. It delivers up to 25 kW of DC charging by drawing simultaneously from solar, battery and grid. It is also V2X and V2G capable, meaning your EV can feed power back to your home or the grid when supported by your vehicle.
If you already have or are planning a SigenStor solar and battery system, the DC module is usually the better choice. If you are looking for a standalone home charger, the Sigen EV AC Charger is the right answer.
Why Choose a Sigenergy Charger?
Direct DC Charging from Solar and Battery
The SigenStor DC module skips the usual conversion steps between battery, inverter and charger. Energy flows straight from your panels and battery to the car as DC, which is more efficient and faster than a standard AC charger.
Up to 25 kW Charging Speed
The SigenStor 25 kW DC module charges around 3.5 times faster than a standard 7 kW AC home charger. It does this by drawing simultaneously from solar, battery and grid. For a typical EV, that is a usable charge in under an hour rather than overnight.
V2X and V2G Ready
The DC module supports vehicle-to-home and vehicle-to-grid charging. Your EV can act as an additional battery for the house during a power cut, or feed surplus back to the grid on a compatible export tariff. This works on supported vehicles only. The supported vehicle list is growing as more manufacturers enable the feature.
22 kW Option with Three-Phase
If you have a three-phase supply, the Sigen EV AC Charger delivers up to 22 kW. That is roughly three times faster than the 7.4 kW most homes get on single phase. Three-phase supplies are uncommon on UK houses but do appear on larger properties and rural builds.
UK-Specific PEN Protection
The Sigen EV AC Charger has integrated PEN fault protection compliant with BS 7671 and IET Code of Practice. No separate earth rod, no separate PEN device, tidier installation.
One App, One System, One Manufacturer
The Sigenergy app brings solar generation, battery state, EV charging and household consumption into a single view. If you already have or are planning a SigenStor solar and battery system, adding a Sigenergy charger means everything runs from the same software, with no third-party integrations to maintain.
How Much Does a Sigenergy Charger Cost?
Sigenergy chargers sit at the premium end of the home charging market because the technology is genuinely different from a standard AC home charger. The DC module is more expensive than an AC charger, and it only makes sense as part of a SigenStor system.
Installation cost depends on the charger, your existing setup, and whether you are integrating with a new or existing SigenStor stack. We give you a fixed quote before any work starts.
If you are not sure whether Sigenergy is the right choice for your house, we will talk you through the alternatives. We install most of the major charger brands, including the Zappi v2 and the Project EV range. We will recommend the one that suits your car, your tariff and your existing system.
Certified Installation from Viable Power
Sigenergy systems are advanced and modular. Correct installation matters more than it does on a simple standalone charger. As NICEIC-approved electrical contractors and MCS-certified solar installers, we are qualified to install both the AC charger as a standalone unit and the DC module as part of a wider SigenStor system.
When you choose Viable Power for your Sigenergy installation, you get:
- A full survey of your property, supply type and existing or planned solar setup, by a qualified engineer
- A fixed-price quote with everything itemised, including the charger, cabling, and any SigenStor modules required
- Installation by our own in-house team, not subcontractors
- Full configuration of the Sigenergy app and energy management settings before we leave
- DNO notification or G98/G99 application if your system needs one
- Aftercare support from the same team who installed it, contactable by phone and email
The Sigen EV AC Charger comes with a 3-year manufacturer warranty. The SigenStor DC module is also covered by a 3-year warranty. The wider SigenStor battery and energy controller carry a 10-year warranty, upgradable to 15 years.
